When you are setting out to plan a wedding there are so many things you have to think of and consider – often with no frame of reference. Are these good caterers? How much is the dress?? What is the difference between wedding make-up and glamour make-up??? These are big decisions, made with a paucity of experience. So, if you have never done this before, feel free to take some of my experience with photographers and use it as your own: hire Ana.
We got into contact with Ana a little under a year before our wedding and she was an amazing help not only with the photography (which was gorgeous!) but with planning a timeline for the day and making sure that the focus was on what we as individuals held to be important. Ana did an engagement shoot for us (we caught the cherry blossoms in downtown Vancouver!) and in an hour was able to capture such a variety of photos: different locations and backdrops, poses and overall feel. She was efficient and focused, but we never felt rushed! If you’ve never done a photoshoot before she has tons of suggestions to make you feel comfortable in order to capture your best self, and if you have specific ideas, she’s more than willing to follow your lead. In between these shots, she will find some tender moments between you and your partner, when you didn’t even know you were “on”. These can be some of the best memories to have frozen in time.

We felt so spoiled to have Ana as our photographer! She was the ultimate hype woman and captured jaw dropping photos of us at the Vancouver Art Gallery, Cleveland Dam and on top of Grouse Mountain. Ana allowed us to be quirky and captured our dynamics and her adventurous spirit encouraged us to make stunning memories.
